Mini-Pigs

Offering non sedated hoof and tusk trimming. Hoof procedures usually take approximately 10-15 minutes depending on length and condition of hooves. We use the “flip method” for trimming as this technique works well for us. We generally recommend routine hoof trimming on a 6 month basis although some pigs will need this done more often depending on various factors. Tusks are trimmed using a gigli wire and the procedure is quick and painless. You even get to keep the tusk as a souvenir!

Goats,Sheep,Llamas and Alpacas

Hoof trimming is available for goats, sheep, llamas and alpacas. These critters are a bit easier to handle than our piggy friends but generally need their hooves done a bit more often. We usually see our goat and sheep customers every 12 weeks or so. Once again this all depends on various factors. As for llamas and alpacas, they usually can go a bit longer with their “claw” trims and 6 months is the norm with these guys. *note For llamas and alpacas * They must be well handled and halter trained. Dangerous animals may need the services of a veterinarian with sedation.
